ADB-Peking University: 1st University-Industry Linkages Workshop
What are the factors that lead to successful university and industry partnerships? How can policies support an effective skill ecosystem that responds to industry needs?
The first joint ADB-Peking University (PKU) joint professional development program (PDP) answered these questions and more. This PDP is an output out of the ADB-PKU Knowledge Partnership Agreement approved in July 2018, and developed for ADB staff and government counterparts from ADB’s developing member countries where there are pipeline projects or potential for new projects, particularly in higher education.
The program focused on how to develop high-quality universities and higher education institutions and how university-industry linkages can contribute to this particularly in high growth urban centers, special economic zones and other priority centers. This also included developing higher level skills and promoting University-TVET-Industry linkages.
