Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand and former administrator of UNDP, will speak at ADB's celebration of Gender Month.
Helen Elizabeth Clark ONZ SSI PC is a New Zealand politician who served as the 37th Prime Minister of New Zealand from 1999 to 2008, and was the UNDP Administrator from 2009 to 2017. She was New Zealand's fifth longest-serving Prime Minister, and the second woman to hold that office. Forbes magazine ranked her the 22nd most powerful woman in the world in 2016. In 2016, she stood for the position of Secretary-General of the United Nations.
ADB is celebrating Gender Month and International Women's Day on 8 March by reaffirming its commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment.
